Baxter and family
We have used 2 other dog trainers over the years, but Dawn is by far the best! We called her because our youngest dog, who had been very gentle since we got him 2 years ago, had started attacking our other 2 dogs. Dawn assessed each of our dogs at our home, gave us invaluable tips and feedback, and then returned weekly for refreshers and to build upon our efforts. Within a few weeks, there were no more attacks, and there has now been peace for many months. We really appreciate that Dawn was flexible with her expectations of us. Princess
When my daughter and I rescued a Mama Boxer and her nine puppies, we had no intention

Lilly
Dawn of Happy Hound Pet Services recently helped me to work on some behavioral issues with a dog I adopted from Red Dog Farm in Summerfield, NC. My dog,
Lilly, has a very dominant personality, which I am not used to (former dog was very
submissive), and I did not know how to handle her! I contacted Dawn based upon a
recommendation from Red Dog Farm. Dawn met with me and Lilly at my house, which is
the place I was having the most trouble with Lilly. Almost immediately, Lilly responded
to Dawn. I think it's her sense of calm, combined with her authoritative commands
and highly-developed training skills that make dogs respond to her. Based upon my
initial conversation with Dawn, I knew she had taken classes to become a certified
dog trainer, as well as practiced her skills at a local kennel and with various rescue
groups. One thing that really impressed me about Dawn was her honesty -- she told
me that it was essential that I PRACTICE the commands daily with Lilly. She had even
typed training plans for each lesson, making it easier for me recall that items we
worked on. Lilly showed fast improvement with Dawn's positive reinforcement and is
now a great companion!
